01 / Why Rebel

What our tattoo artists
actually specialise in

Three artists, three specialisms, deliberately spread so that no style is anyone’s side project. You are matched to the chair that fits your piece.

01

Realism and
portrait work

Black and grey and full colour. This is what the studio wins awards for — three at the Inkbuddies Tattoo Festival 2025 across Small Realism and Best of the Day. If you are bringing a photograph, a face or an animal, this is the chair you want.

02

Fine line and
single needle

Botanical, script, mandala and minimal work. The hardest style to get right, because there is nowhere for a shaky line to hide and a design packed tighter than its size will close up within a few years. Drawn at a size that still reads in ten.

03

Cover-ups and
colour

Handled by the studio’s most experienced artist, eight years in and trained under international tattooers. Covering existing ink is the hardest brief in tattooing: you are designing around someone else’s mistake, in their colours, at their size.

02 / Recognised Work

02 / The Artists

Four to eight years each
across three chairs

Where they trained, how long they have been doing this, and why the spread of specialisms matters more than any one name.

Three full-time artists — male, female and non-binary — with four to eight years each. The specialisms are deliberately spread, so that no style is anyone’s side project and nobody is learning on you.

The most experienced has eight years behind them, worked in top-tier studios before Rebel, and learned under international tattoo artists. The others came through some of the biggest names in Indian tattooing — Aliens and Hawk among them. All three have won at Indian tattoo conventions, which is a public, dated record rather than a claim.

That matters more than it sounds. A studio with one strong artist and two apprentices will quietly route you to whoever is free. Here, whichever chair you end up in, the person in it has four years minimum and a specialism they own.

03 / No Pedestals

Why we do not put artists
on a pedestal

This page names nobody, and that is a deliberate decision worth explaining rather than hiding.

You will notice this page does not name anyone, show you portraits, or invite you to pick a favourite. That is deliberate, and it is worth explaining rather than hiding.

Studios that build a following around one artist create a problem for their own clients. The artist becomes the product. Their diary fills, waits get longer, prices climb, and when they eventually move on — and they always eventually move on — everyone who came for them is left with a studio they never actually chose. We have watched that happen and decided not to build it.

So the standard here belongs to the studio rather than to any one person: the same hygiene protocol, the same single-use cartridges, the same Quantum vegan ink, the same free consultation, the same free touch-ups for life. The artist you meet at your consultation is the artist who does your work and your touch-ups — you are never handed off. But the reason you can trust that chair is the studio behind it, not a name on an Instagram grid.

04 / The Materials

The ink and the needles
most Gurgaon studios will not pay for

Half of what a tattoo is made of never gets mentioned, because clients do not think to ask. Here is exactly what goes into your skin.

A tattoo is the artist and the materials, and the second half is where studios quietly economise because clients never think to ask. Ask. Any studio worth sitting in will show you the bottle and the packet without being asked twice.

Quantum ink, imported from California. Vegan, cruelty-free, made in the USA and EU REACH compliant — the European standard that bans the pigments and carriers linked to allergic reaction and long-term harm. It costs considerably more than what is commonly used in Gurgaon, which is precisely why most studios here do not use it. You cannot see the difference on day one. You see it in how the piece holds its edge and its colour at year five.

Kwadron cartridges, made in Poland. Medical-grade surgical steel, medical-grade plastic, precision machined so the needle sits true. A cartridge that wobbles by a fraction tears skin instead of depositing ink cleanly, which shows up later as blowout and patchy healing. Every one is opened from a sealed packet in front of you, used once, and binned.

None of this is about being the cheapest studio in Gurgaon, and we are not trying to be. It is about what is still on your skin in ten years. You can look up Quantum and Kwadron yourself — we would rather you did.

05 / The Record

Judge a tattoo artist
by what walked out

Not by a bio. By the work, and by what happened to the people wearing it.

The honest way to judge a tattoo artist is not a bio. It is what has walked out of the studio, and what happened to the people it walked out on.

More than 2,500 clients in Gurgaon since 2023. Three years and counting. Zero infections in that entire time. And 229 Google reviews, of which every single one is five stars.

Zero infections across 2,500 clients is not luck and it is not a slogan — it is single-use Kwadron and Cheyenne cartridges opened in front of you, a medical-grade autoclave, EU REACH compliant ink, and aftercare guidance that somebody actually follows up on. It is the one number in this business that cannot be talked up, and most studios will not quote it at all. Ask the next studio you visit what theirs is.

06 / How To Choose

How to choose a tattoo artist
in Gurgaon

Four questions that separate studios anywhere, and they are worth asking us too.

Whoever you are considering, in Gurgaon or anywhere, these are the questions that actually separate studios. They are worth asking here too.

What have you won, and when? Awards are public and dated, so they are hard to exaggerate. How many infections have you had? A studio that tracks this will tell you instantly; one that does not will change the subject. Can I see work you did five years ago? Fresh tattoos all photograph well. Healed ones do not, and that is the difference between a good photograph and a good tattoo. Will the person I meet be the person who tattoos me?

And ask to see the ink and the needles. Any studio worth sitting in will show you without being asked twice.

08 / FAQs

Tattoo artists in Gurgaon
questions people ask

Who is the best tattoo artist in Gurgaon?

Any studio answering that with its own name is selling to you. The more useful question is whether a studio can show you healed work in the style you want, tell you its infection record, and name what it has won and when. At Rebel there are three full-time artists covering realism, fine line and cover-up work, with four to eight years each, training in top-tier Indian studios and under international artists, and convention awards behind them.

How many tattoo artists work at Rebel?

Three, all full-time — male, female and non-binary — with four to eight years of experience each. Specialisms are deliberately spread so that no style is anyone’s side project: realism and portraits, fine line and single needle, and cover-ups and colour.

Can I choose my tattoo artist?

You are matched to the artist whose specialism fits your piece, which is usually a better outcome than choosing by name. Whoever that is, the artist you meet at your free consultation is the artist who does the work and your free touch-ups afterwards. You are never handed off to someone else on the day.

Why does the studio not promote individual artists?

Because it creates a problem for clients. When a studio builds a following around one person, that artist becomes the product, waits get longer and prices climb, and when they eventually move on everyone who came for them is left with a studio they never chose. The standard here belongs to the studio instead: same hygiene protocol, same ink, same free consultation, same free touch-ups for life, whichever chair you are in.

How experienced are the artists?

Between four and eight years each. The most experienced has eight years, worked in top-tier studios before Rebel and learned under international tattoo artists. The others came through some of the biggest names in Indian tattooing, including Aliens and Hawk. All three have won at Indian tattoo conventions, which is a public dated record rather than a claim.

Do you have a female tattoo artist?

Yes. The studio is woman-led and the three artists are male, female and non-binary. If you would prefer a particular artist for reasons of comfort, say so when you message and it will be arranged without any fuss.

Which artist does cover-ups?

Cover-ups and colour work are handled by the studio’s most experienced artist. Covering existing ink is the hardest brief in tattooing, because you are designing around someone else’s work in their colours and at their size. Send a photograph on WhatsApp and you will get an honest answer about what is possible before you come in.

How do I know the artist is any good before I book?

Look at healed work rather than fresh photographs, because everything looks sharp on day one. Ask what the studio has won and when. Ask its infection record. Rebel has served more than 2,500 clients in Gurgaon since 2023 with zero infections, holds three awards from the Inkbuddies Tattoo Festival 2025, and is rated 5.0 across 229 Google reviews.

Is the consultation with the artist who will tattoo me?

Yes. The free consultation is with the artist who will do the work, so the person drawing your design at actual size and placing it on your body is the same person holding the machine on the day.

Do the artists do custom designs or only flash?

Custom, always. Every piece is drawn for the person wearing it. If you bring a reference it is redrawn rather than copied, including AI-generated images, because AI packs detail into a size that skin cannot hold and it closes up as the tattoo ages.
